Tip 2: Apply second application of systemic insecticide to outdoor houseplants. It’s time to start bringing them inside. Cut back on fertilizing. Don’t fertilize dormant houseplants.
Tip 3: Fall is the best time of year for moving most plants. Transplant deciduous trees and shrubs when they are dormant. Evergreen trees or shrubs, however, may be transplanted earlier in the fall, before they go dormant.
